Dear Creator

Thank you for making something for me. I am always happy to receive either gen or shippy fic regardless of the / or & marker in my sign up. As this exchange is extra long to allow for people who are interested to pick up new canons I'm including some extra information in some of the sections about where and how to find them.

A note about comic books. I do the majority of my reading on Marvel Universe or DC Infinite, so I am perpetually around a year behind. For some of my requests this probably won't matter - I doubt Speedball will be showing up in anything anytime soon - and for some it's going matter a lot - Booster and Beetle's new series launched in July and I'll probably be getting the first issue around the time gifts are revealed. I don't care about spoilers, so if you're reading the newest issues in a timely manner (unlike me) feel free to use anything from them that inspires you. And on the other hand, don't feel like you can't write for me because you're not on top of the latest developments. I'm not either :).

DNW and Likes
DNW*:
    - I would prefer no crossovers or non-canon or setting aus (including things like soulmates, omegaverse, or magical creatures). Canon aus such as House of M or canon divergence aus are both fine.
    - I'm not easily squicked so most any sexual kink is fine, however I'm not really into non-sexual kinks (so for example if someone is getting spanked I'd like it to be about sexual gratification foremost)

*any prompt that contradicts a DNW can be considered an exception you are free to disregard the DNW in that particular case

DC Comics

Michael Carter/Ted Kord

Michael Carter aka Booster Gold, is a thief and a conman from the far future. Ted Kord is a genius inventor. Together they fight crime!

From the first moment they meet in JLI they just clicked and have brought a warmth and levity to every book they were in. Even the really angsty ones that make me cry (looking at you Injustice). They’re best friends who love each other, support each other, rib each other, and will rip apart the fabric of time for each other. They believed in each other and made each other better people, happier people and spending time with their characters is always rewarding.

      - Getting fake married for a mission that doesn't actually require anyone to be fake married.

      - Ted didn't actually mean to ask Booster to marry him, there was a joke, people were laughing and now Booster is moving into his penthouse.

Vance Astrovik/Robbie Baldwin

Vance Astrovik is a mutant telekinetic whose powers were triggered when his future self came back in time and accidentally altered reality. Hoping to become like his idol Captain America he became the superhero Marvel Boy (he later changed that to Justice - the name is more commonly known as). He was recruited to join the New Warriors, and while he has been an Avenger a few times in the past he always comes back to them.

Robbie Baldwin was a normal suburban kid doing an internship at a physics research lab. Noticing that the scientists cat had snuck into the lab, Robbie went in to retrieve it only for both himself and the cat to get blasted with experimental particles that turned him to the hero Speedball. As the sole survivor of the Stamford incident that started Civil War, Robbie was scapegoated by both the public and the hero community, leaving him under the control of Green Goblin, where he changed his name to Penance.

Following the downfall of Goblin’s Dark Avengers, Vance and Robbie are reunited and begin the journey to reclaim both the name Speedball and New Warriors.

I really enjoy the early New Warriors work, but there was something about the later years that really spoke to me. This sense of us against the world, but more like only we can really understand what we’ve lost. The later series does a lot with ideas of reputation and redemption, walking the line between the levity of the first few years and the darkness of the Civil War era.

    Prompts

      - What did Vance and Robbie do on their Road Trip.

      - Robbie is apparently not as over the Penance stuff as he pretends to be, does Vance find out? And what does he do about it?

      - The dropped plots when New Warriors 2014 got cancelled - finding Namorita, Mictlan rises, etc.

      - During the Shatterstar series there is brief mention of the Noir-verse's New Warriors and now I'm curious. What do you think that looks like? How does the change in setting change Vance and Robby’s story.

Tommy Shepard/David Alleyne

David Alleyne is a mutant who lost his powers following M-day and Tommy is….uh...well...he seems to be the physical manifestation of Scarlet Witch’s desire to have children? They met working for the same company and became instant friends. When Tommy was abducted by an eldritch being, David joined forces with his twin brother and old teammates to get Tommy back.

I love their fast friendship: David knew Tommy for all of a few days when Tommy was taken and David drops everything to travel across multiple universes to find him. We don't get to see them spend a lot of time together but what we did see was so promising that I was completely sold on the possibilities.

      - Getting married would help them both out on the taxes front, trust David, he knows these things.

      - Young Avengers vol. 1 alludes to experiments being performed on Tommy and others in the mutant detention center, what if someone from that place comes looking for Tommy and it's up to David and his old X-buddies to help him out.

      - So apparently they get exactly 1 and 1/2 drinks in them and start making out, is this just like a drunk thing? Is it a relationship? Do they know? Do they think they know but actually the other one has the opposite impression?

Julio Richter/Shatterstar

Julio is a mutant from Mexico who was kidnapped by The Right to be used as a weapon in their schemes. He was rescued by X-factor and has been an on-again, off-again member of the X-men every since.

Shatterstar is (to greatly simplify things) Longshot and Dazzlers child from the future, who was raised on mojo world as a gladiator. He came to the main universe in order to recruit the X-men to help him over through Mojo but ended up staying since the X-men were dead at time.

They meet as Cable is recruiting young mutants to his cause in X-force. They’re friendship started out a little rocky, but they quickly became very close as Julio taught Shatterstar all about human culture. It was revealed in X-factor that at some point in time they had become romantically involved. They have often struggled with keeping their relationship going, but they always seem to find their way back to each other.

Arkham Horror

The games are more adventure than horror, and to motivate players to keep battling their way through daunting odds, they offer characters you can love enough to want to keep alive. The distinct time and place of Jazz Age Arkham (and other select locales across North and South America), make for a fun sandbox to play in with a lot of opportunity for case fic, romance and friendship, historical backstory, and hurt/comfort. (Stolen from Delphi’s promo post since they did a much better of explaining why it’s awesome then I have been able to)

    Where Can You Find Me:

    Any Investigator

I requested this tag because I love all the characters and one of my favorite aspects of the game is the way random people from very different walks of life all come together to save the world. I find all of the characters interesting and want to read about how they found each other, and what adventures they’ve gone on.

      Prompts
      - Pick 2+ investigators and write/draw the story of how they met and began working together

      - Expand on anyone’s backstory and how they became involved in the supernatural

      - Play a game and tell me what happened.

Supernatural

Supernatural is a show about two brothers who fight monsters. I started watching this all the way back in 2007 and have been watching it on and off for the past 13 years. The finale reminded me how much I loved this show, particularly the early seasons. I find the dynamic between the brothers and the tension around their father to be so fascinating and I loved loved loved the horror genre coating over everything.

    Where Can You Find Me:

      Netflix, anywhere DVDs are sold.

    Sam Winchester & Dean WInchester
    Prompts

      - Anything about Sam and Dean's childhood would make me happy. A case from their childhood or teenage years maybe.

      - Holiday themed story - either pre-canon or at some point during the shows run. A birthday or an Easter or Thanksgiving maybe. Maybe a Christmas Carol rif, hunting the ghost of Christmas Past.

      - I love ghost stories, so any case fic centered around a ghost/haunting would be great.

Sam Winchester/Jessica Moore, Sam Winchester/Jessica Moore & Dean Winchester

      Prompts

      - How did Sam and Jessica meet? What was her first impression of him? What did she assume about his family and his childhood?

      - What did Dean think of Sam and Jessica when he was swinging by Stanford to spy on Sam?

      - Au where Dean doesn’t come to get Sam and Jessica doesn’t die and about 2 years later everyone who was at the Stanford Library on April 23rd is dead and Sam has vanished without a trace. Lost for what to do, Jess reaches out to the only person who might possibly be able to help - the brother Sam barely spoke about.
